Mayan Riviera real estate: Hallowe’en In Paa Mul

Mayan Riviera Real Estate - Hallowe´en in Paamul

Just because you own a piece of Mayan Riviera real estate and live in the Mexican Caribbean, doesn’t mean you have to miss out on back home traditions.  While the traditional October celebration in Mexico is Día de Muertos, or “Day of the Dead,” Hallowe’en is still an event celebrated by many.  Expat communities like Paa Mul, just south of Playa del Carmen, put on a fantastic show for the kids.  Normally a quaint seaside community, the locals go all out, dressing up as pirates, soldiers, hippies, and witches, and deck out their terraces and patios with orange string lights, jack o’ lanterns, and cobwebs.  Children from Akumal, Playa del Carmen, and other real estate developments, are invited every year to go trick or treating in this otherwise quiet village.  A Mayan Riviera real estate treasure, Paa Mul is tucked in between jungle and ocean.  Made up of many peaceful and serene cul-de-sacs and boulevards, on Hallowe’en, the low lighting and creepy corridors give the evening’s festivities the perfect setting. After all the candy has been handed out, the locals invite the visiting kids to a pot luck dinner.  There is even a haunted house, complete with eerie sound effects, creeping fog, and hidden ghouls, just waiting to startle an unsuspecting visitors.

Who says you can’t have it all?

Greetings from the tropical waters of the Riviera Maya!
